Top 3 Tips for Grooming Your Cavapoo Puppy

Cavapoo puppies have adorable, curly fur. But as anyone who has curly hair will tell you, taking care of it can be a challenge. Thankfully, we’ve put together our top three tips to help you best groom your Cavapoo puppy.

Wipe their eyesdog grooming supplies

Cavapoos are among the many breeds that develop tear stains beneath their eyes. What are tear stains? They’re exactly as they sound. They’re stains on their fur, just below their eyes, from excess tear production. Tear stains are not harmful, but if you leave them for too long the stains can set into their fur and continue to build up around their eyes. Wiping your Cavapoo’s eyes regularly can prevent this.

Use a two-sided pin and bristle brush

Cavapoos have curly fur. This trait is what makes them so lovable. But their curly fur can be difficult to brush through if you don’t have the right brush. We recommend using a two-sided pin and bristle brush. This type of brush can comb through curly fur more easily than other types. The metal side will help get rid of tangles, while the other side smooths out the coat.

Check their ears

Did you know that Cavapoos have hair inside their ear as well as out? As such, it’s important for you to regularly check and (if necessary) clean their ears. This will prevent gunk and dirt from collecting, which could result in infections or ingrown hairs. Both problems are troublesome, so it’s best to prevent them.
